Bernie Aronson
| Bernie Aronson is a seasoned industry veteran with a distinguished career in electronic design automation. In addition to serving on the Apache Design Solutions board of directors, he also serves on the board of eASIC Corporation and as an advisor to InPA Systems, Inc. Mr. Aronson’s extensive executive-level management experience includes CEO of Kilopass Technology, Inc., CEO and president of Synplicity, Inc., and president of EPIC Design Technology, Inc. Under his leadership, Mr. Aronson took Synplicity and EPIC to their initial public offerings. He was the founder and president of Pico Design, Inc. (now part of Motorola, Inc.), and was executive vice president at Zoran Corporation. Mr. Aronson received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York, New York City. |
Lori Holland

Lori Holland brings over 28 years of financial experience from a broad range of high-technology markets including telecommunications, disc drives, and semiconductors. She served as CFO for several companies including Zaffire, Inc., NeoMagic, and Read-Rite. Ms. Holland has also held senior financial positions with NeXT Computer and Seagate Technology and began her financial career as an auditor for Ernst & Young. She currently serves as director and chairman of the audit committee for Oclaro, Inc., as director and a member of the audit committe for LTX-Credence, and was previously on the board of Bookham Technology (now Oclaro, Inc.), Credence Systems (previously CMOS), and WiderThan (now part of RealNetworks). Ms. Holland received her Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the California Polytechnic State University. |
Andrew T. Yang, Ph.D.

Dr. Andrew Yang co-founded Apache in 2001, focusing on power closure for advanced high-performance and low-power SoC designs, and has served as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors since its inception. Dr. Yang has been an active entrepreneur and investor in EDA since when he founded Anagram, a high-capacity simulation solutions provider for deep-submicron ICs. After Anagram merged with Avant!, he served as the Vice President of the Analysis Product Division responsible for all extraction and analysis products. After Avant!, Dr. Yang became a lead investor and a director of a number of EDA start-ups including CADMOS (now Cadence), Ultima (now Cadence), InnoLogic (now Synopsys), and Mojave (now Magma). Dr. Yang received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and was a tenured professor at the University of Washington. |
Ping Yang, Ph.D.

Dr. Ping Yang has served as one of Apache Design Solutions' directors since 2006. Dr. Yang currently operates an independent consulting practice serving semiconductor companies, providing expertise in the areas of VLSI technology development, computer-aided design, circuits and systems, large-scale integrated circuits, and solid-state electronics. Dr. Yang served as vice president of research and development at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), responsible for deep submicron logic and embedded memory technologies. Prior to joining TSMC, Dr. Yang held various management positions at TSMC North America and Texas Instruments Incorporated. Dr. Yang currently serves as a director of LTX-Credence Corporation, Intervac, Inc., and Global Unichip Corp. Dr. Yang is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a recipient of the Institute’s Third Millennium Medal. Dr. Yang holds MSEE and Ph.D. from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. |
